My name is Jesse Morgan and I am a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Music—especially your preferred music—is a powerful tool that can be leveraged to help you meet your goals. Music connects us to our emotions, family, memories, community, divinity and to our selves. I’ve worked with patients and families at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, in homeless shelters, schools, dementia care, hospice, and in my private practice, I can help you achieve your physical, social, spiritual and educational goals with music therapy. Music therapy modalities include:

Music Lessons

Piano, ukulele, voice & guitar.

I have over 30 years experience teaching people of all

ages to make music.

Composition/Songwriting

Writing songs and music can help you to process

feelings and make meaning.

Improvisation

Spontaneous music making is an illusion created from

preparedness (scales, chords, ear training, etc.) and practicing openness without expectation.

Receptive/Listening

Analyzing lyrics, themes, mood in music and making meaning, as well as using music to process feelings. Also, using music to regulate biosystems and corresponding mood.

Performance

Processing and/or making meaning through performance. Using performance to meet your specific personal goals.
